Social Governance

Social empowerment programs are tailor made to suit the context and communities and may take the form of fun games, theatre, art and sporting events. When and where possible these training programs are structured around dreams, values, good governance and active citizenship.

This training program is conducted in local communities and is designed to provide interested communities an opportunity to identify their skills and resources and ownership of their own development through participatory processes.

It includes sessions on Active Citizenship, Community Governance, Healthy Living, Disaster Management, Income Generation Programs and Participatory Budgeting.

FRIEND engages communities to identify and develop their skills, knowledge and understanding to be able to make informed decisions about their communities which may improve the quality of life.
